Canvas Release Notes
The latest Canvas release came out on February 22.
MathJax Equation Enhancements & Text Field LaTeX Characters
LaTeX equations can be entered in any Canvas text field, and MathJax is loaded if Canvas detects an equation image added by delimited LaTeX characters. Equations can be added through manual entry, or through the Equation editor as supported in the Rich Content Editor.
Note: This feature has been delayed.
Pretty HTML Editor
The Rich Content Editor includes a pretty HTML editor in addition to the raw HTML editor.
BB Collaborate Deploy Notes
The lastest BB Collaborate release came out just today, on February 25.
There are now new icons for the privacy status of recordings. You can tell at-a-glance if the recording is available to the public or to course members only.
This Week's Faculty Question
Q: I'm experiencing connection and audio issues in my BbCollaborate session. What can I do to address them?
A: To prepare for the session, review our Preparation Tip Sheet and share the sheet with participants as well:
- try to use a hardwired, not Wi-Fi internet connection if possible.

ensure that your browser meets requirements outlined on the Preparation Tip Sheet.
- Tip: Use Chrome or Firefox for best experience
