This week: Rubrics update, ePortfolios update, This Week's Faculty Question: I saw a memo (ACT memo regarding Collaborate Recordings) that on June 30, 2021, all recordings made before May 1, 2021 using Bb Collaborate will be deleted. Is this correct? If so, what can I do to download the recordings I want to keep? Can the EdTech office provide any help?

Rubrics update: Rubric rating removal made easier
A recent update to the Canvas Rubrics interface makes it easier to remove or change ratings in rubrics within SpeedGrader. If you select a rating within a criterion for a rubric, and then realize that you want to remove that rating, you can now:
- click on the rating again to deselect it
- the rating score that used to display in the points field will automatically be removed
- remember to Save to apply your changes
ePortfolios update: Course enrollment requirement added
A recent update to Canvas ePortfolio permissions means that users (students, instructors, TAs) must be enrolled in a course before they can create a new ePortfolio. This change was implemented to minimize the number of spam ePortfolios created in Canvas accounts.

A: Yes, this information is correct - all recordings made before May 1, 2021 with the Bb Collaborate webinar tool will be deleted on June 30, 2021. To download any recordings you wish to save, please see our guide how to download Bb Collaborate recordings. The Ed Tech office can provide assistance, but you need to act fast! You can request downloading support for your FASE course (only instructors can make this request) by submitting the Bb Collaborate Recordings Download service webform by June 11, 2021.
