Question: I have an assignment that I would like to distribute to my entire class, and a student that will be completing the assignment remotely at a different time. How can I easily create an assignment for the remote student?

Answer:  In this case, there is no need to create a separate assignment. When creating or editing an assignment, you can assign an assignment to individual students. You can also set different due and availability dates for a student within an assignment that is assigned to the rest of the class.

You can add the remote student to the same assignment by adding another "Assign to" in the options. To do this, enter your Assignment editing options. At the very bottom under "Assign", leave the option to send the Assignment to everyone, and select "Add" to add another Assign box. In this new box, you can choose that one specific student and add a separate due date.
