Question: How do I change my course card on my Quercus dashboard?

Answer: Changing the default course card is recommended. One of the tricky elements of them is that the colour is defined per user - it's not a universal system distinction. Sometimes, we hear someone say, "Go into the red course" but, what is pink for you might be purple for me. If you upload a custom image (265px wide by 150px tall), then this image will appear the same to everyone who views your course. Plus, it adds a bit of design punch to your course!Example of Blank Course Card and Customized Course Card

  1. Create a custom image that is 265 px wide by 150px tall. Try to make your font size as large as possible (at least size 20) and keep the details to a minimum. Remember that students can see the official course code underneath the image, so there's no need to include that on the image itself. (Note: The image is also not accessible without alt text, so ensure that you add a title and description).
  2. After logging in to Quercus, go to your Dashboard to select the course you would like to change the card of.
  3. Go to Settings by navigate to the bottom option on the left main course menu.
  4. Under Course Details beside the image label you will see either a blank or coloured box (depending on what the current course card is). Click on the three dots in the top right corner of this box and you will see chose or remove image.
  5. After selecting chose image you can add any image saved on your computer.
