After you've Migrated: Let's Build!
You've already archived all your course content from Blackboard (or you didn't need to) and it's time to (re)build your course on Quercus.
If you attended an Quercus Migration session, you'll know that that session focused largely on supporting your decision on how to export your existing content from Blackboard. Now, after that introduction, you might be ready to get into the nitty gritty of the new system and could be thinking about how to most effectively and optimally build your course in the Q. If so, the course builder group session can get you started. Please note: we will not be covering the migration process/options in this session.
If you are interested in attending a session, register below (and don't forget to bring a lap top). Three have been scheduled (so far):
-
Tuesday June 19, 1:00PM-3:00PM - GB 167 - Wednesday June 27, 1:00PM-3:00PM - GB 167
- Wednesday July 25, 10:00AM-12:00PM - GB 173
These sessions are capped at 8 attendees and will focus on best practices for building Canvas/Quercus courses. If you know that you have a more challenging or specific requirement for building, I recommend that you schedule an individual training session versus attending one of the group sessions (although the group session is an excellent start for anyone).
If you're already all set, and don't need to be reminded anymore about the upcoming Blackboard to Canvas Migration, you can let us know by filling out this form. We do appreciate this, as it helps us to know that you're all set and not that you haven't had a chance to do it.
