Module Overview

The objective of this module is to provide all entry-level students with a common understanding of the ethical expectations in the University environment. There are several units that provide basic information on a range of common academic offenses, including: falsifying documents (Unit 1), unauthorized aids (Unit 2), impersonation (Unit 3), plagiarism (Unit 4) and originality (Unit 5). A unit is also included that describes discipline procedures and penalties. This module provides students with clear and simple descriptions of behaviour and actions that are considered academic offenses and the consequences of those actions. The goal of this module is to provide students with concise and practical information that will help them understand the expectations for academic integrity in Canadian Universities.
