Hello << Test First Name >> << Test Last Name >>, What's happening in the world of FASE EdTech this month? As we continue to support faculty through one-on-one consultations, we are excited to host opportunities to get hands-on with tools and resources. We’re offering an Assessment Set-Up Lab (see Tip 01) to help you finalize your Quercus and Crowdmark assessments, and we’re bringing back our ETO Studio “Doors Open” sessions (see Tip 02) as a chance to check out the studio and connect with our team. What's happening over the next few months? The early stages of pre-production are underway for a special lecture capture project, which is perfect timing as we gather new information on the evolution of Stream and Clipchamp into a single, streamlined video solution (see Tip 03). Along with reflecting on insights from our recent conference experience (see Tip 04), we’re also looking forward to a few upcoming conferences and will share highlights in a future newsletter. |

3. Say goodbye to Stream, and hello to Clipchamp |
Microsoft is phasing out the Stream brand and combining its video management tools with Clipchamp’s editing features to create a single, unified video solution within Microsoft 365. The transition from Stream to Clipchamp is rolling out gradually, so you may still see both names for a while. Over time, Stream will be fully replaced by Clipchamp across Microsoft 365. |
As we explain in our blog post, Goodbye Stream, Hello Clipchamp!, this change will allow you to record, edit, store, and share videos all in one place. Features like captions, transcripts, interactive forms, and AI-powered tools will still be available, now alongside Clipchamp’s editing capabilities. No action is required on your part right now, but keep an eye out for updated guides and documentation as the transition continues. |

Quick tech tipAdd chapters to your videos |

It’s never too late to enhance accessibility to your content. Make your videos easier to navigate and more accessible by adding chapters. These time-stamped segments let viewers jump straight to key moments in your videos. We recently updated all the Linear Algebra Lecture videos on YouTube to include chapters. Now Professor Mary Pugh’s notes and comments are easily accessible to learners as they watch the videos. |

Worthwhile clicks from the Web |
| Looking for something to read/watch/listen to? Each month we round up things that we've interacted with that we think are worth sharing: When Teacher Training Feels Like a Sales Pitch (and How to Push Back) | The Science of Learning From the blog post: “Most facilitators and teacher educators genuinely want the best for teachers… Still, even with the best intentions, a workshop or presentation can sometimes lean on subtle persuasive techniques that don’t feel fully transparent.” This post looks at five of those “sales” moves you may recognize from your own professional development experiences and offers strategies to help teachers feel supported rather than boxed in. A.I. School Is in Session: Two Takes on the Future of Education | The New York Times From the podcast: “These technologies emulate human thinking… with sufficient sophistication as to make their output indistinguishable from human work.” In this podcast, Alpha School co-founder MacKenzie Price, and Princeton professor D. Graham Burnett explore how AI is upending classrooms and assessment, and what a degree should mean. Which Multimedia Strategies Actually Improve Learning? | The Learning Dispatch From the blog post: “If I was to sum up Richard Mayer’s work in one idea, it’s that clarity beats novelty.” This post explores a new meta-analysis of Mayer’s multimedia learning research and reveals that clear, purposeful design (not flashy features) has the greatest impact on student understanding.
