Meet Inga Breede!

Inga joins the EdTech Office as our new Senior Instructional Technologist, Content Production. She will be leading the team's media production efforts as well as supervising the Lecture Capture and Remote Editing Services

Inga is a media professional who has pursued a broad and deep range of experience throughout her career of over 15 years, spanning acting on screen and stage, producing content for broadcast, overseeing creative services for film marketing, and client-work in advertising, corporate communications and marketing.

In 2019, she began to explore the ways in which storytelling can transform into storyliving. Inga completed her MA in Media Production (Ryerson University, 2020) with a research focus on interactive audio narratives using conversational design and voice technology. As part of her research, she built a prototype for an interactive audio narrative using a smart speaker. Her project was accepted for further development in the Transmedia Zone Incubator program at Ryerson University. Inga is an active member of Women in Film & TV and Dames Making Games, and she is also the newest ambassador of the Women In Voice Canadian chapter to help build and support the Canadian voice tech community.

Before joining U of T, Inga worked for the Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University to advise faculty on best practices for transitioning their courses online, putting their best face forward in a virtual environment and helping with the production of video content. Inga is excited to be joining the ETO, where she hopes to continue building her career in academics and finding the connections between creative thinking and tech innovation to help communicate ideas and stories.

When she isn’t in the edit suite or programming a conversational design, Inga enjoys more analog activities like painting terracotta pots or jamming with her ukulele band.
