Upcoming EdTech How To Sessions: March 2021
Providing feedback to students
Quality feedback on assessments can help students develop their learning and improve their future performance. It can also help students stay on track with their work and sustain effort and motivation in their courses. Giving feedback, however, can be time-consuming for instructors, especially in large classes. Join us for a session where we explore the online tools available in Quercus that can help make the workload more manageable. After you've decided which tool(s) you’d like to use to provide feedback to your students, you can schedule a consultation for assistance on setting these up in your course.
Online tools for effective and efficient feedback
Register now! Facilitated by Anna Limanni | March 23, 2021 | 2:00 - 3:00 pm (postponed)
In this session, we’ll explore the following Quercus tools:
- SpeedGrader (including options for personalized feedback with annotations, and audio/video comments)
- Rubrics (including options for holistic and analytic rubrics, and rubrics for feedback only)
- Quizzes (including options for preprogrammed feedback on auto-graded questions)
We’ll review the main features of these tools and discuss how they can be used (either alone alone or in combination) to help you:
- provide your students effective and timely feedback,
- grade faster, and
- ensure greater grading consistency
Can I get a recording of the session? Absolutely! If you can't attend the session, please register anyway and we'd be happy to send you a link to the recording as well as the follow up blog post (with session materials).
