Quercus Updates

This week: Canvas updates, This Week's Faculty Question: I used the Copy to function to send a quiz from my 2020 course to my 2021 course, but when I open the copied Quiz it has no questions in it. It has the overall structure of the quiz I copied but all the questions are missing. Is there a way to copy the quiz with all the questions?

This week: Canvas updates, This Week's Faculty Question: I accidentally deleted most of my previous course announcements. Is there a way I can restore those announcements so that students can access them again?

This week: Update to Assign to field (Assignments, Quizzes, and graded Discussions),This Week's Faculty Question: How do I set up the Quercus calendar so students can easily see the monthly calendar just for my course. Is there a way to put the calendar as part of the course home page?

This week: Crowdmark grading features updates,This Week's Faculty Question: I've been assigned to teach a course in September 2021 but I don't see the course on my Quercus Dashboard yet. Can you help me find my course?   

This week: Quercus Assignments Update, This Week's Faculty Question: I am trying to upload lecture video recordings (from last year’s BB Collaborate) to my current course. I created a module for them and managed to upload a few but now I am getting an "Error 400" message for the rest. Does that mean there is some sort of storage problem? Can I get my course storage quota increased so I can upload the rest of my videos?

This week: Crowdmark Dashboard Update, This Week's Faculty Question:  I’m setting up my Quercus course and I’ve copied over some content from a previous course. I used the Link Validator to check all my course links and it brought up some links with the following messages: external links in this resource were unreachable and links to other courses in this resource may not be accessible by the students in this course. What do these messages mean? Do I need to check all these links? All the links seem to work for me!  

This week: Latest Canvas updates, Upcoming Crowdmark maintenance,This Week's Faculty Question: I have noticed that recordings that I have recently uploaded to MyMedia start muted by default and that I need to manually cancel muting each time I view them. Is there something that I can set so as to start them unmuted?  I've uploaded dozens of recordings without this problem before this so I don't know what I'm doing differently. Has there been an update to MyMedia? Perhaps I am doing something when I am uploading?  

This week: Speedgrader Comment Library, Upcoming Crowdmark maintenance,This Week's Faculty Question: I am having issues properly calculating the final grades in Quercus. I see a discrepancy between the marks that I am calculating in my own Excel spreadsheet and the final marks that are coming up in Quercus in the Total Grade calculation. I think the issue may be that I gave students the option to improve their grade by taking the best 5 of 6 assignment scores instead of counting all 6. I’m fine to do this in Excel, but not sure how to incorporate this in Quercus. Is there a setting for this in the gradebook?
