AI Teaching and Learning Series 3 – Faculty Identity and Praxis in the Age of AI

November 26, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Presented by the Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre (RGASC), UTM

Online (Teams)

The rapid growth of generative AI challenges not only how we design learning, but also how we understand our professional identities as educators. Focusing on praxis, professional identity, and the sociology of teaching, this session provides space for faculty to reflect on the evolving role of educators in knowledge-rich, AI-augmented environments. Through guided reflection and dialogue, participants will examine tensions between technology and pedagogical values, consider research-informed perspectives on the future of academic work, and explore strategies for cultivating intentional, values-driven teaching practices in the age of AI.

In-person option: November 24, 1pm-2pm
