In this module, a series of actual case studies from building science practitioners and researchers are presented to illustrate how building science fundamentals impact building performance. Each case study begins with a background section or introduction to the problem. This is followed by a discussion of the investigations undertaken and the findings. Next, the fundamental building science principles affecting the building are examined and solutions to problem are proposed.
Explain some of the ways in which heat, air and moisture movement as well as solar radiation can impact building performance in unintended ways
Describe how to investigate a particular building science problem and critically analyze the findings
Develop realistic solutions to some of the actual challenges presented
This module is still in production and will be released upon completion.
