Benjamin Walsh

Liaison & Instruction Librarian

About

I am a librarian who works hard to support the research goals of all those who enter the library. I am also committed to extending the reach of our profession beyond these walls into the extraordinary everyday spaces that define our diverse complex society. I received my ALA accreditation from the University of Toronto where my masters thesis – an ethnographic investigation of technology use and new media practices among queer and trans youth in street contexts – was published in 2014. This report is available through T-Space, U of T’s digital repository. Before that work I was co-owner of Glad Day Bookshop and host of the international literary tour series Books Abroad.
