Presented by the Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre (RGASC), UTM
Online (Teams)
AI literacy extends beyond technical skills or compliance with policy, it is fundamentally a pedagogical practice that shapes how students engage critically, ethically, and creatively with emerging technologies. Informed by scholarship on digital literacies and critical digital pedagogy, this session reframes AI literacy as a matter of mindset, agency, and values-driven practice. Together we will explore frameworks for embedding AI literacy into diverse disciplinary contexts, review classroom strategies that move beyond tool training, and consider how to cultivate students’ long-term capacity to navigate evolving sociotechnical environments.
In-person option: October 20, 2pm-3pm
