This course is an introductory level turbulence class. This content is offered as part of MIE1207: Turbulence. The goal is to learn fundamental concepts and apply them. The motivation behind this project was the thought that there is a benefit in allowing students time to digest complex information as delivered in an introductory turbulence course. This allows students the possibility of reviewing content on their own. While the content was created during COVID, Prof. Sullivan plans to re-use the content in future terms and to offer the content openly online.

The project was initiated to provide weekly edited videos from asynchronous recordings. When asked about the project, Dr. Radhi said, "the class delivery is set with a "flipped classroom" framework, and the edits were done to separate large recordings into smaller recordings for a set section/example presentation. This helps focus the content of the asynchronous videos and makes it easier for students to follow through small chunks of posted recordings."

Dynamics is a challenging course, particularly in the first year curriculum. We cover particle and rigid body kinetics and kinematics as well as vibration. On top of learning this new material, students have midterms and projects due in other courses that distract from keeping up with material. This project encompasses all material covered in MIE100 – and will be expanded as time allows to update learning goals.
